When a vacancy occurs or is likely to occur in the State Advisory Committee, the Secretary of the Committee shall submit a report to the State Government at least three months before the expiry of the term of a member with the approval of the Chairperson and on receipt of such report, the State Government shall take steps to fill the vacancy by making a nomination from amongst the category of persons to which the vacancy belonged and the person so nominated against the vacancy, shall hold office only for the remainder of the period of term of office of such member, in whose place he is nominated.
