The Lovely Professional University Act, 2005State Act of Punjab · Act 25 of 2005

(1) The Academic Council shall consist ofthe following persons, namely :—— /

two persons from the Academia or Industry, to be nominated by the Chancellor ;

one Nominee of the Government of the State of Punjab, Department of Technical Edueation or Medical Education or Higher Education ;

all Deans, Heads of the Departments and Directors of the University ;

Principals and Directors ofthe Institutes ofthe Trust ;

Incharge of the Library of the University; and two persons, to be nominated by the Chancellor.

(2) The Registrar shall be the Member—Secretary of the Acaecmic Council. .

(3) The Academic Council shall be the supreme academic body of the University. The Academic Council shall, subject to the provisions of the Ordinances, Statutes and Regulations have the power to control, regulate and maintain the standards of teaching, education and examinations and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties, as may be prescribed.
