Section 57: Admission to Polling Stations

The Punjab Municipal Election Rules, 1994State Act of Punjab · Act 19 of 1994

The Presiding Officer shall regulate the number of electors to be admitted at any one time inside the polling station and shall exclude therefrom all persons other than;—

(a) Polling officers;

(b) public servants on duty in connection with the election;

(c) persons authorised by the Commission;

(d) candidates, their election agents and one polling agent of each candidate;

(e) a child in arms accompanying an elector;

(1) a person accompanying a blind or infirm elector who cannot move without help;

(g) such other persons as the Returning Officer or the Presidiag Officer may employ for identificaton of electors.
