(1) Before the commencement of the poll, the Presiding Officer shall show the ballot box to be used for the poll to the polling agents who may be present at the polling station so that they may see that the ballot box is empty. The Presiding Officer, shall then secure and seal the ballot box in such a manner that the slit for insertion of ballot papers remains open and shall allow the polling agents present to affix, if they so desire, their seals. The 1-31lot box shall bear labels both inside and outside marked with
(a) the serial number alongwith the name of the constituency if any;
(b) the serial number and name of the polling station;
(c) the serial number of the ballot box (to be filled at the end of the poll on the label outside the ballot box any);
(d) the date of poll. .
(2) The ballot box shall be placed in full view of the Presiding Officer and the polling agents,
(3) If It becomes necessary to use additional ballet box/boxes for the poll, the procedure as in subrules (1) and (2) shall be followed in respect of each such ballot box.
