Section 84: Declaration of result of election and return of election

The Punjab Municipal Election Rules, 1994State Act of Punjab · Act 19 of 1994

(a) The Returning Officer(s) shall enter the result of the counting of postal ballot papers and the result of counting of votes polled at all the polling stations in a constituency as received from the Assistant Returning Officer or Officers final result sheet in Form 35A and announce the particular:;

(b) shall declare in Form 36 the candidate to whom the largest number of valid votes has been given, to be elected under section 69 and send signed copies thereof to the Commission and the District Electoral Officer and

(c) complete and certify the return of the election in Form 37 and send signed copies thereof to the Commission and the District Electoral Officer.
