Section 96: Custody of ballot boxes and papers relating to elections

The Punjab Municipal Election Rules, 1994State Act of Punjab · Act 19 of 1994

After the completion of the election, all the ballot boxes and papers relating to election shall be fowarded to the District Electoral Officer, who shall keep these in his custody till the expiry of one year from the date of election and shall then subject to any direction to the contrary of the Commission or Election Tribunal or a Competent Court, cause them to be destroyed.
