Wherever in these s<ciion 227 (;d) rules, any act or proceeding is directed or allowed to be done or taken on a ce1tain day, then, if the office is closed on that day, the act or proceeding shall be considered a~ done or taken in due time if it is done or taken on the next day on which the office is open.
