All stores when received shall be examined, counted, measured or weighed, as the case may be, at the time of taking delivery and shall be entered in the stock register immediately. A certificate shall be given at the end of the entries for a~1y single day by the official incharge of stores stating that the stores have been received in proper condition and according to specifications. Surplus, if any, shall be indic;:ted as aoditional receipt and shortage, if any, shall be indicated in red ink.
;· 8. Jssue.-Articles of stores shall be issued against proper indents and written acknowledgement shall be obtained from the person to whom the stores have been ordered to be issued ·by' th~ Deputy Chief Executive Officer or the_ Executive Officer, as the case may be. Where the indents are modified, the indenting officer or official shall be informed of the modification.
