The reservation in the appointment to the Service shall be given to the persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes as per the provisions of the Punjab Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes (Reservation in Services) Act 2006, as amended from time to time and to the persons belonging to other categories for which reservation is provided by the Punjab Government as per the instructions issued by the Punjab Government.
