The Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994State Act of Punjab · Act 19 of 1994

(1) Subject to the provisions contained in section 101 relating to the stay of operation of an order of the Election Tribunal, every such order shall take effect as soon as it is pronounced by the Election Tribunal.

(2) Where by an order under section 87, the election of a returned candidate is declared to be void, acts and proceedings in which that candidate has, participated as a member of a Panchayat or a Municipality before the date of such declaration shall not be invalidated by reason of that order, nor shall such candidate be subjected to any liability or penalty on the ground of such participation.
