"(4) No person shall be appointed to the Service by way of direct recruitment unless he qualifies the test(s) as specified by the Director or Recruiting Agency, as the case may be, from time to time and any other qualifying test or examination as specified by the Government from time to time. The final selection of candidates shall be on the PUNJAB GOVT. GAZ., SEPTEMBER 27, 2022 (ASVN 5, 1944 SAKA) basis of their merit in the examination of aforesaid test(s). There shall be no marks for viva voce or interview.”.
