(2). The Chancetloeshall be the Charman ofthe Governing Boxy 8nd he shall approve all appointments, nominations, removal, suspensions and reinstatements of the employees and officers of the University either suo-moto of on the recommendation of the authority eoncerned of the University,
(3). The Chancetior may amend or evoke any decision taken by Authority or officer ofthe University and may exercise his powers, either Suo-moto or otherwise todo all things to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Universi
(4) The Chancellor shall have the povier to do all such other fanctions as may be required to doin luheranceto the objects ofthe University and any matter incidental thereto and the decision taken by the Chancellor shall be final and binding on all concerned ofthe University
(5). 1h, in the opinion of the Chancellor, any decision of any officer or authority or the University is beyond the powers conferred under this Actor the statutes or the ordinances or regulations ori ikely tobe prejudicial to the interests of the University, he shall ask such officer or authority to revise its decision within a period of fifteen days and incase the officer or authority refuses to revise sich decision, wholly or partly or fails to take any decision within a period of fiflen days, the decision of the Chancellor shall be final The Chanel Tee Chance 6 PUNIAB GOVT. (a) as made default in peeorming any duty imposed upon him under this Actor otherwise; oF
(b) has University; or ed in manner prejuisial to the inerests ofthe
(c)_ isincapsble of managing th affairs ofthe University, the Chancelfor may, notwithstanding the fact that term ofthat officer has not expire, by an order in writing and stating Ue reasons therein, require the ‘Vice-Chancellor or officer to relingush his office from such date, as may be specified in onder, The Vice-Chancellor or officer concerned shall be deemed tohave rlinguished his office from the date so specified
Provided that no such order shall be passed, unless the grounds on which such action is proposed to be taken are communicated to the Vice ‘Chancellor of officer concerned and he js given reasonable opportunity of being hear 10, (J), The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chanceltor from amongst the panel of three persons recommended by the Governing Boy.
