Section 2: Definitions

Rajasthan Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Rules, 2020State Rules of Rajasthan · 2017

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) "Act" means the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017;

(b) “Form” means the forms appended to these rules;

(c) “Ombudsman” means any officer designated as Ombudsman, from time to time, by the State Government under section 23 of the Act; and

(d) “State Government” means the Government of Rajasthan.

(2) Words and expressions used but not defined in these rules but defined in the Act, shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
