(1) The Officer Incharge of the Band shall recover in advance hiring charges for Jail Band at the following rates for being employed at private functions:— For complete Band of 24 persons :
(i) Rs. 1[4600/- for a day of 3 hours.
(ii) Rs. '[3200/- for a day of 2 hours.
(iii) Rs. '[2400/- for a day of 1 hour.
For half Band of 12 persons :
(i) Rs. 1[3400/- for a day of 3 hours.
(i) Rs. 1[2400/- for a day of 2 hours.
(iii) Rs. '[1600/- for a day of 1 hour.
Which shall include the time taken by the Band in journey to the place where the Band is required.
For each additional hour the following charges will be paid:—
(i) For complete Band of 24 persons :
Rs. 50/- per hours.
(i) For half band of 12 persons :
Rs. 25/- per body.

Provided that the band shall be allowed to remain after fixed hours if the programme for the band is not fixed also where and provided further that the minimum charges shall not be less than Rs. 150/- for full band Rs. 75/- for half band if the band is retained for more than 2 hours upto three hours.
The Officer Incharge of the band may inconsultation with the Collector of the District may reduce the rate on the basis of rates prevalent in the District or when there is no marriage season or when the band is required for social and religious functions. The Inspector General of P'rigons may also reduce the rate upto 25% if the band is required for religious or social functions or for any ceremonial functions.

(2) The Officer Incharge of the band may also allow band being sent beyond 10 miles from the headquarters provided that he had satisfied himself about safety and security arrangements.
(3) When the band is taken outside the Jail head quarters too transportation and diet charges shall be paid by the person hiring the same and the whole amount on account of these charges shall be paid to the Officer Incharge of the band if satisfied may allow the party to undertake the responsibility upon theselves for their transportation and or diet charges.
9, Jail Band will be made available free of cost for the foundations approved by the Government and those organised by the Jail department.
