Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless the subject or context otherwise requires,-

(a) “Act” means the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (Officers and Members Emoluments and Pension) Act, 1956 (Act No.

VI of 1957);

(b) “Assembly” means the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly;

(c) “Ex-Member” means a person who is a recipient of or is entitled to pension under section 4-A of the Act; and

(d) “Principal Secretary” means the Secretary, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and includes any officer of the said Assembly, specially empowered by the Speaker to perform the functions of the Secretary under these rules.
