Section 3: Definitions

The Rajasthan Municipalities (Grant of Conveyance Allowance) Rules, 1974State Rules of Rajasthan · 2009

In these rules unless there is anything repugnant to the subject or context-

(a) "Act" means the Rajasthan Municipalities, Act, 1959 (Rajasthan Act, 38 of 1959).

(b) "Board" means a Municipal Board and includes a Council.

(c) "Chairman" means Chairman of a Board and includes President of Council and Administrator appointed by the Government.

(d) "Competent authority’ means the appointing authority of the Municipal Servant.

(e) "Municipal Servant" means any officer and Servant appointed under section 307, 308 and 310 of the Act and includes Administrator appointed under Section 293, 293A and 295 there of and other servants on deputation to the Board.

(f) "Schedule" means schedule appended to these rules.
