Section 3: Revival of the Rajasthan Act No. 38 of 1959

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rajasthan General Clauses Act, 1955 (Act No. 8 of 1955) but subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 2, as from the commencement of this Act-- (i) the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 1959 (Act No. 38 of 1959) shall stand revived; and (ii) all the Municipal Corporations, Councils, Boards or other Municipal Authorities established or deemed to have been established pr all municipalities constituted or deemed to have been constituted or any appointment of nomination made or deemed to have been made or any election held or deemed to have been held or any committee formed or deemed to have been formed or limits defined or deemed to have been defined or any notification, notice, order, scheme, rules, regulations, form or bye-laws made or issued or deemed to have been made or issued or taxes imposed or deemed to have been imposed or contracts entered into or deemed to have been entered into under the Rajasthan Municipalities Ordinance, 2008 (Ordinance No. 10 of 2008) shall so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 1959 (Act No. 38 of 1959) shall be deemed to have been established, constituted, made, held, formed, defined, made or issued, imposed or entered into under the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 1959 ( Act No. 38 of 1959) as revived by this Act.
