Section 5: Metropolitan Areas

The Rajasthan Police Act 2007State Act of Rajasthan · Act 14 of 2007

The State Government shall, as soon as may be, declare any area in the State comprising a city or town whose population exceeds one million to be a Metropolitan area under the provisions of section 8 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974).

Explanation. - In this section the expression "population" means the population as ascertained at the last preceding census of which the relevant figures have been published.
