Section 54: Identification of village guard

(1) Every village guard shall be provided an Identity Badge and a photo Identity Card in such form and manner as may be prescribed.

(2) Every village guard shall always wear the Identity Badge and keep the photo Identity Card with him while he is engaged in discharging his functions and responsibilities under this Act.

(3) Any person who ceases to be a village guard shall forthwith deliver to the District Superintendent of Police or to an officer authorised by him, his Identity Badge and Photo Identity Card.
