Section 223: Search before entry to the prison

The Rajasthan Prisons Rules, 2022State Rules of Rajasthan · 1894

(1) On return of an under-trial prisoner from the court to the prison gate, if any unauthorized article is found or a special circumstance or an irregularity is noted by the prison officer on duty, he shall forthwith report the matter to the Superintendent and if necessary, to the District Superintendent of Police or Deputy Commissioner of Police for taking action.

(2) The cash as is brought by the police escort should be recorded in the register and deposited in the prison office under intimation to the under-trial prisoner.
