Section 351: Information about details of the insane prisoner to Police Officer

(1) The Medical Officer shall invariably be present when a mentally ill prisoner is made over by the Jailor to the police escort, he shall acquaint the officer in command of the escort with the exact mental and physical condition of such prisoner and shall bring to his notice such disability or marks of violence as may exist and shall ask him to satisfy himself that the condition of the prisoner is as stated.

(2) The Jailor shall note in his report book the fact that the provision of this rule having been complied with.
