(1) The registration granted under section 5,may be extended as per section 6, on an application made by the promoter in Form-E prior to theexpiry of the registration granted. :
(2) The application for extension of registration shall be accompanied with a demand drafi orbankers cheque drawn on any scheduled bank or proof of payment through onliné mode, as thecase may be, for an amount equivalent to half of the registration fee as specified under sub-rule(3) of rule 3 along with an explanatory note setting out the reasons for delay in the completion ofthe project and the need for extension of registration for the project, along with documentssupporting such reasons:
Provided that where extensiun of registration is due to force majeure the Authority mayat its discretion waive the fee for extension ofregistration. ;
(3. Extension of registration of the projectshall not be beyond the period provided as per locallaws for completion of the project or phase thereof, as the case may be.

(4) In case of extension of registration the Authority shall grant the certificate for extension of registration in Form-F to promoter andin case of rejection of the application for extension of registration the Authority shall inform the promoter, in Form-D about the same:
Provided that no application for. extension of registration shall be ngocted unless the applicant has been given an opportunity ofbeing heardin the matter.
