Section 15: Traffic signs to be placed or erected at suitable placcs

The State Government or the officer authorized by it in this behalf shall, for the purpose of section 36 cause one or more of the traffic signs specified in the First Schedule appended to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No.59 of 1988) suitable and sufficient to serve the purpose, to be placed or erected at suitable places for the convenience of the traffic:

Provided that in case the officer authorized by the State Government in its behalf considers that any modification in any such sign is required to serve a particular purpose under section 36 in a more useful manner, it may place or erect such modified signs after the approval of the State Government for the purpose.
