6. Methods of Recruitment.- *"(1) Recruitment to the post(s) included in the service shall be made by direct recruitment in accordance with procedure laid down in Part-IV of these rules."; † (2) Deleted (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules the recruitment, appointment, seniority and confirmation etc. of a person who joins the Army/Air Force/ Navy during an Emergency shall be regulated by such orders and instructions as may be issued by the Government from time to time and same shall be regulated mutatis mutandis according to the instructions issued on the subject by the Government of India.
