Section 20: The Extension Education Council

The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Act, 2010State Act of Rajasthan · Act 13 of 2010

(1) There shall be an Extension Education Council consisting of the following members, namely:-

(i) the Vice-Chancellor - Chairperson;

(ii) the Managing Director of Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation;

(iii) the Director of Animal Husbandry;

(iv) the Director of Fisheries;

(v) all Deans of the constituent colleges;

(vi) all Directors of the University;

(vii) all Heads of Departments;

(viii) all In-charges, by whatever name called, of Livestock Research Stations;

(ix) all In-charges, by whatever name called, of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Pashu Vigyan Kendra, by whatever name called, of extension centres, schemes and projects;

(x) two eminent persons in the field of Extension Education from outside nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;

(xi) two progressive livestock or fisheries farmers to be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor; and

(xii) the Vice-Chancellor may co-opt up to two members from related organizations.

(2) The Director of Extension Education shall be the ex-officio Member-Secretary of the Extension Education Council.

(3) The Extension Education Council shall consider and make recommendations in respect of-

(i) the Extension Education Programmes and projects of the University;

(ii) co-ordination of Extension Education activities;

(iii) development of farmers' Education and training and advisory services;

(iv) evaluation of the functioning of Krishi Vigyan Kendra or Field Trial Centre or such extension centres, by whatever name called; and

(v) any other matter referred to it by the Vice-Chancellor, Board or any other authority of the University.
