The Commissioner shall provide the Excise Supervisory Officer with proper gauging rods and standard sacchrometer and thermometer, and if the licensee questions as to their correctness or the results obtained by the Officer, he shall make a written protest with the Assistant Commissioner or the officer authorized by the Commissioner in this behalf immediately.
