Section 10: Payment of security deposit and execution of agreement

(a) Every applicant shall make a deposit of 1 [Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only)] for the due observance of the conditions of the licence. The security deposit may be remitted either in cash or in fixed deposit with a Nationalised bank in the Joint account with the Joint Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, authorized by the Commissioner for this purpose or by Stock Certificates, Savings Bank Accounts, National Savings Certificates or Government Promissory Notes endorsed to the Commissioner.

(b) Every applicant shall execute an agreement in Form III appended to these Rules.

(c) No licence shall be granted unless the applicant complies with the provisions of sub-rules

(a), and (b).
