(1) The Governing Council shall meet at such times and places and shall, subject to the provisions of sub-sections (2) and (3), observe such rules of procedure at its meetings including the quorum at meetings, as may be prescribed by the statutes.

(3) All questions at any meeting of the Governing Council shdl be decided by a majority of the votes of the members p.-esent and voting &,, in the case of equality of votes, the Vice -Chancellor or the member prest ding, as the case may be, shall have and excrcine a second or casting vote.
(4) (a) The Governing Council may, for the purpose of c;:ysultati&, invite any person having special knowledge or practiea; ~uperience in .any subject under consideration to attend any meeting. Such person may speak in, and otherwise take part in, the proceedings of such meeting but shall not be entitled to vote.
(b) The person so invited shall be entitled to such daily an$ travelling allowances as are admissible to a member of the Governing Council.
1 24. Members not entitled to remuneration.-The members of the Governing Council shall not be entitled to -Pweive any remaneratioti from the University except such travelling and daily allowances as may be, prescribed by the statutes :
Provided that nothing contained in this section shall preclude any member from drawing his emoluments to which he is entitled DY- virtue of the office he holds.

Rcsjgnation ofmembers.-A member of the Governing Council, ' 1 othLLr than ex-oficio members, may tender resignation of his membership , at ally time before the expiry of the term of his office. Such resignation &all be conveyed to the Chancellor by a letter in writing by the member and the resignation shall take ~ q e c t from the date of its acceptance by the Chancellor.
