Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

The Tamil Nadu Motor Transport Workers' Rules, 1965State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1961

(1) These rules may be called the 1[Tamil Nadu] Motor Transport Workers’ Rules, 1965.

(2) They extend to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu

(3) These rules, except rules 16 to 22 (inclusive) and rule 24, shall come into force at once, and rules 16 to 22 (inclusive) and rule 24 shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, appoint.
