Section 6: Revision of classification

The Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Classification of Fairs and Festivals Rules, 1999.State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1994

The Government in respect of classification ordered by the Inspector under Rule 3 may revise the classification.

The advice of the District Panchayat under Section 163 (2)(c)(ii) of the Act shall be obtained before deciding any such revision of classification. The District Panchayat may furnish annually in the month of March, its suggestion for any revision in classification.
