Section 3: Periodical disclosure of assets of Chairman, Vice-Chairman , and members of District Panchayat

The Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Disclosure of Assests and Liabilities By Chairmanm, Vice-Chairman and Members of Village Panchayat) Rules, 1999State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1994

The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and every member of a Village District Panchayat shall –

(a) if he is elected after the date of coming into force of these Rules, within a period of thirty days, after such election; and

(b) thereafter, at intervals of every twelve months ending with the 31st day of March, furnish in duplicate to the Village Panchayat in the Form appended to these Rules a return of-

(i) all properties owned, acquired or inherited by hum or his family members including their liabilities ; and

(ii) all properties held on lease or mortgage either in his own name of in the name of his family members, including their liabilities together with details of the means by which, or the sources from which, such property was acquired or inherited.
