The planning authority may direct that a person shall cease to be associated with the planning authority if he has, without the prior permission of the planning authority, been absent from the meetings of the planning authority for any period exceeding three consecutive months from the date of the last meeting he attended or he has abused his position as a person associated with the planning authority.
