Section 27: Appointment of Special Officer

The Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Rules, 2023.State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 2019

(1) The Special Officer appointed under section 18 or section 31 of the Act, shall be not below the rank of a Headmaster of a High School in respect of a High School and the schools below and not below the rank of a Headmaster of a Higher Secondary School in respect of a Higher Secondary School. The Special Officer so appointed shall perform the functions of the Secretary of the school committee.

(2) Where the appointment of a Special Officer is pending consideration of the Government, the District Educational Officer concerned shall be the authority competent to draw and disburse the pay and other allowances to the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.
