Section 19: Maintaining pupil-teacher ratio

Tamil Nadu Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 2009

The sanctioned strength of teachers in a school shall be notified by the State Government or the local authority, as the case may be, within a period of eighteen months from the appointed date:

Provided that the State Government or the local authority, as the case may be, shall within six months of the said notification, redeploy teachers of schools having strength in excess of the sanctioned strength prior to the notification.
