Section 11: Proceedings of the committees

(1 ) The Chairman of the committee or committees shall be nominated by the Board.

(2) A committee shall meet as often as may be necessary and at such place and time as may be fixed by its, Chairman. ,

(3) Meetings of the committees shall be convened and presided over by the Chairman of the committee. In his absence, the meeting shall be presided over by any person chosen by the members present from among themselves.

(4) Three members including the chairman shall form the quorum, for any meeting of the committee.

(5) In the absence of a quorum in any meeting of the committee the next meeting convened shall transact business even without the quorum, provided the Chairman remains present and the decisions thereat shall be treat-ed as duly taken by the committee. 7 ,

(6) Decisions of committees shall be incorporated in the agenda for the next meeting of the Board. ‘

(7) A committee shall neither pass any resolution nor draw out any minutes but shall submit to the Board its recommendations or report pertaining to the subject or area for which the committee is appointed by the Board.‘ The T.N. Water (Prevention and Controlof Pollution) Rules, 1983 7 .
