The consulting engineer may undertake tours within the State of Tamil Nadu for the performance of the duties entrusted to him by the Board and in respect of such tours he shall be entitled'to such travelling and daily allowances as are admissible to a grade-I officer of a State Public Sector Undertaking in accordance with the rules or orders issued by the Government from time to time. He shall get the prior approval of the member-secretary for his tours.
