The Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019State Act of Telangana · Act 11 of 2019

(1) Every vacancy either by way of death, resignation or disqualification in the office of an elected member shall be reported by the Commissioner to the State Election Commission within fifteen (15) days from the date of [Act No. 11 of 2019] 31 occurrence of such vacancy and shall be filled within four

(4) months from that date.

(2) A member elected in a vacancy shall enter upon office forthwith, but shall hold office for the remaining period, in whose place he is elected.

(3) No election shall be held within six months before the date on which the term of office of its members expires by efflux of time.
