[23-A. Sale of perishable articles.-- Notwithstanding anything in sections 22 and 23, crops or products which are in their nature speedily perishable shall be sold by the distrainer as early as possible after they are distrained in such manner as may be provided in the rules made by the State Government in this behalf, and the sale proceeds shall be deposited with the public officer referred to in section 22.]
