Section 2: Interpretation

The Tripura minimum wages RulesState Rules of Tripura · 1948

In these ru les unless the context othcr\<ist require-

(a) "Act' means the Minamum Wage; Act, 19J8.

(b) "Ad,i>ory Committee" mean> an advisory commUte< appoin­ ted under 'ection 6 and includes an adviwr} sub-committee appuinted under that ection :

(cl "Authonly" means the authonl) appointed under 'ub-,ectton (II of S<ction 20;

(JI "Boanl" mc~n' the Ad\bory Boanl appointed under Sc~llon

(cl "Chairman" mean' the Chairman of the A<l•isory Boar,!. the Committe~ or tht Ad,bory Commillee. as the case rna) be, appointed under Section 1.1 :

(f) "Commillee" means a commillee appointed under clau>c (u) of sub-section (I) ul Section 5 and includes a sub-committee appointed under that section:

(1J) " Inspector" means a per,on appointed ~» ln,pector under Section 19;

(hl "Form" mean, a form appended to these rule>.

(i) ''Regi>tered trade unton" mean> a trade union rcg~>tercd under the Indian Trade Union Act. 19~6 and (jl "Section" mean> n ~ecuon or the Act; and

(k) All other word' ami cxprc"ion; used herein and mH uenneu shall have the mcdning rC>pectively as;igned to them under the Act ;

(u) The Secretary shall assists the Chairman in convening meet­ ings and ~hall keep a record .of the minutes of such meetings and shall take necessary measures to carry out the decisions the Committee. the Ad\isory Committee or the Boa rd, as the case may be.
