(1) In these regulation- 1[(a) "Additional Director", "Joint Director", and "Deputy Director (Administration/ Marketing)" means Additional Director, Joint Director (Administration/Marketing) and Deputy Director (Administration/ Marketing) of Mandies.]
(b) "Board" means the State Agricultural Produce Markets Board, Lucknow constituted under section 26-A the Act.
(c) "Class" means a class of posts referred to in Regulation 5.
(d) "Director" means the Director of Mandies.
(c) "Employee" means every person appointed on whole time basis in classes A, B, C and D mentioned in regulation 5, whether on con-tract basis, on deputation or otherwise but does not include persons employed on daily wages, work charged and on part-time basis.
(f) "Pay" means the amount drawn by an employee of the Board and includes his:-
(i) Basic pay which has been sanctioned to him for the post held by him substantively, or in a temporary or officiating capacity.
(ii) Special pay, deputation pay and personal pay.
(iii) Any other emoluments or allowances which may be specially classed as pay by the Beard but does not include dearness allowances, overtime allowance, 1 Substituted by The Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Produce Markets Board (Officers And Staff Establishment) (Eleventh Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
travelling allowance, conveyance allowance, medical allowance, city compensatory allowance, house rent allowance, washing allowance or the like.
(j) "Service" means service under the Board.
(h)"Substantive appointment" means an appointment, not being an ad-hoc appointment, on a post in the cadre of the service, made after selection in accordance with these regulations.
(i) "Year of the recruitment" means period of 12 months commencing from the 1st day of July of a calendar year.
