Section 5: Terms of Office of members

Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Sanskrit Education Act, 2000State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 32 of 2000

. (1) A member other than ex-officio member, shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of the notification under sub section (4) of section(3) .

Provided that the State Government may, by notification enlarge the term of the office of all such members by a period not exceeding six months at a time. So ‘however that the enlargements so granted shall not in the aggregate exceed one year.

(2) A member of the Board shall cease to be such member upon his ceasing to have the capacity in which he was elected or nominated, and his scat shall thereupon, become vacant.
