Section 263: Officers of the Board

Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996State Rules of Uttar Pradesh · 2020

(1) The Secretary of the Board shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.

(2) The Secretary shall with the approval of the Chairperson issue notice to convene a meeting of the Board and shall keep the records of the minutes of such meetings and shall take necessary steps for carrying out the decisions of the Board.

1. (3) The Board may with the prior concurrence of the State Government, appoint an officer of the Indian Administrative Service not below the rank of Special Secretary as Secretary of the Board.

(4) The Board may with the prior concurrence of the State Government appoint such other officers and employees as its staff to assist the Board in the efficient discharge of the functions of the Board under the Act.
