Section 8: Unlawful charges not to be claimed or received

Uttar Pradesh Cantonments (Control of Rent and Eviction) Ordinance, 1952Ordinance · 1952

(2) Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, no person shall be entitled to claim or to receive any rent in excess of the rent payable under this Ordinance notwithstanding any agreement to the contrary.

(2) No person shall, in consideration of the grant, continuance or renewal of any tenancy, claim cr receive,any premium or other like sum in addition to the rent payable under this Ordinance.
