(1) If the Transport Minister, Uttar Pradesh is nominated by the Chief .
Minister as the Chairperson, the term of office of the Chairperson shall be effective s0 long as he continues to act as the Transport Minister,

The term of office of Chairperson (if an expeit person is appointed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) may be renewed by the Chiéf Minister of Uttar Pradesh and that of Vice-Chairperson may be renewed by the State Government for such further period as specified in the notification issued in this regard.
(4) The Secretary of the Authority shall be appointed on deputation basis from amongst the officers of the Transport Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh holding the rank of Additional Transport Commissioner and shall hold office for a period as determined by the State Government. -
