Section 4: Term of office of members

The Intermediate Education Act, 1921State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 2 of 1921

(1)- Member other than [ex officio members] shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of the notification published under [sub-section (3) of section 3.]

[ Provided that the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, enlarge the term of office of all such members by a period not exceeding [six months] at a time so however, that the enlargements, so granted, shall not in the aggregate exceed [one year].

[ (2)- A member of the Board shall cease to be such member upon his ceasing to have the capacity in which he was [nominated] and his place shall thereupon become vacant.]
