Section 90: Quorum

90. (1) Where any business is required to be transacted by special resolution, the quorum for the transaction of such business shall be at least one-half of members of the 3Corporation or the Committee as the case may be.

(2) No business shall, except as provided in sub-section (3) be transacted at any meeting of the [Corporation], the Executive Committee, [the Development Committee, the Ward Committees] or any other Committee constituted under section 5 unless at least onefifth of the total number of members thereof be present throughout the meeting.

(3) Where any meeting fails or is unable to continue to transact its business for want of quorum, the Presiding Officer of the meeting shall direct that a meeting be held at such time and place as he thinks fit and thereupon the [Municipal Commissioner] shall give notice to all members of the time and place of such meeting and the business which has been listed for transaction at the original meeting may be brought forward and transacted in the usual manner at such meeting but no quorum shall be necessary thereat.
