Rules for Elections to the Board of Indian Medicine, U. P.State Rules of Uttar Pradesh · 1939

(1) For the purposes of elections under clause (iv) of sub section (1) of section 5 of the Act, the Returning Officer shall ,is soon as may be after coming into force of these rules because to be prepared in the manner hereinafter laid down a list in Form II of teachers of Ayurvedic Educational Institutions if Uttar Pradesh affiliated to the Board.

(2) For the purposes of elections under clause (v) of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Act, the Returning Officer shall similarly cause to be prepared a list in Form .II of teachers of Unani Educational Institutions of Uttar Pradesh, affiliated to The Board.

(3) The State Government may at any time require the Returning Officer to prepare a fresh list referred to in sub-rule (1) or in sub-rule (2).

4. (.1) While preparing a list under rule 3 the Returning Officer shall after collecting names in such manner as he may think fit at first cause to be prepared and notified in the official Gazette for objections a draft list containing the names arranged in alphabetical order under each institution, stating that any person claiming to be eligible to have his name entered in the list or objecting to any entry in the list may prefer a claim or objection, as the case may be, before the Returning Officer at his office on or before the date and time to be specified in the notification.

(2) The date to be specified under sub-rule (1) shall be at least seven days after the day on which the notification is published in the official Gazette.

(3) The notification shall also specify the day, time and place at which hearing of claims to entry of names and those objections which only seek to have errors in entries in the draft list in the nature of clerical errors corrected shall be heard.
