(1) The Returning Officer may at any time order the correction of any clerical or printing error and removal of any duplicate entries in the list and such correction or removal shall be made in the list and notified in the official Gazette, for general information.

(2) While a list is in force under rule 7 any person may file a claim for inclusion of his name in the list or object to any name included in the list or to any particular relating to any name :
Provided that no claim to the inclusion of any name or objection to the entry of any name on the list shall be entertained by the Returning Officer during the period between the publication of notification of election under sub-rule (1) of rule 12 and the declaration of the result of such election under rule 19 or 'rule 32 nor unless such claim or objection is accompanied with a fee of Rs.2 to be paid in cash at the time of the presentation of the claim or objection.
(3) The provisions of rules 5 and 6 shall, as far as may be, apply to claims and objections filed under this rule :
Provided firstly, that each claim and objection shall be accompanied with a properly stamped and addressed envelope for service of notice of hearing by registered post upon the claimant or objector or his agent and, if the objection is to the removal of any name from the list or to the correction of any entry other than relating to the objector, also with a similar envelope for service of notice upon the person to whose name or particulars the objection relates ; and Secondly, any addition, omission or correction ordered by the Returning Officer upon the hearing of any claim or objection shall be notified in the official Gazette, for general information.
