Section 16: Withdrawal of candidature

(1) Any candidate may withdraw his candidature by noce in wring delivered to the Returning Ocer on or before the date and me fixed for withdrawal under clause (c) of sub-rule (2) of Rule 9.

(2) On compleon of the scruny of nominaons and aer the expiry of the period within which candidature may be withdrawn under sub-rule (1), the Returning Ocer shall prepare in Form No. ill a list of persons whose nominaons are in order and who have not withdrawn their candidature and cause it to be axed at some conspicuous place, in his oce and in the Oce of the Mandi Sami not less than seven days before the date xed for elecon.
