Section 1: Short title and extent

(1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Sugar and Power Alcohol Industries Labour Welfare and Development Fund Rules, 1951,

(2) They extend to the whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh.

(¢) “Owner” of a factory includes partner, managing director, authorised to represent the fa ry Committee or the a lessee or mortgagee and any agent,_ manager or any other person ctory in its transactions.
